Dr. George Fouskitakis was born in Chania, Crete, Greece in 1973. He received his diploma degree from the Mechanical & Aeronautical Engineering Department of the University of Patras, Patras, Greece, in 1995. In 2002 he received his Ph.D. degree from the same Department.
From 1995 to June 2008 he was a researcher at the Stochastic Mechanical Systems & Automation Laboratory of the same department. From 2004 until October 2008, he has been an adjunct faculty member at the Department of Electronic Engineering and at the Department of Environmental and Natural Resources Engineering, Technological Educational Institute (TEI) of Crete and starting from February 2008 he is a permanent faculty member – currently at the position of Associate Professor. He is currently teaching several undergaduate courses and graduate courses at the Telecommunications & Automation Electronic Systems, and at the Geo-Environmental Risks and Resources graduate programs, respectively, of TEI of Crete.
Dr. George Fouskitakis has worked in numerous projects related with Stochastic Signals and Systems and their applications. He has more than 30 publications in international journals and conference proceedings.
His research interests lie in the areas of Stochastic Signals and Systems, Identification, Prediction, Long Memory Signals, Modal Analysis, Structural health Monitoring, Fault Detection and Isolation. He is also active in the area of Embedded Systems for Precision Agriculture Applications.
